After a Covid-enforced derailment of the initial run in early 2020, Jonathan Harvey’s much anticipated new production for the Everyman restarts on 17th September for a three-week stint.
Our Lady Of Blundellsands is the tale of sisters Sylvie and Garnett, whose lives unravel in the midst of a family reunion in their Sefton coast home. Peppered with local references and Harvey’s trademark dialogue, the play won critical praise when it opened in February last year.
In this second run comedy legend Josie Lawrence reprises her role as the fantastical Sylvie. Garnett is played by Joanne Howarth and local duo Nathan McCullen and Gemma Brodrick are Alyssa and Lee Lee.
Jonathan Harvey has made a name of himself with television classic Gimme Gimme Gimme and the much loved stage production Beautiful Thing.
