Tate Liverpool -15/12– 27/06
Artist Aliza Nisenbaum exhibits her portraits of Merseyside’s NHS key workers at Tate Liverpool this December. Known for her bright and bold portraits, this exhibition will highlight Nisenbaum’s signature style, in addition to the intimacy of her subjects.
Having met online, Nisenbaum interviewed various NHS staff including a student nurse, a respiratory doctor and professor who worked on the front line throughout the pandemic. Visitors will be able to see two new large scale group portraits in addition to eleven individual portraits. The paintings will be presented along side three films, making this Nisenbaum’s largest commission to date.
