POSITIVE VIBRATION, The award-winning Baltic Triangle reggae festival has added some huge names to their already impressive roster ahead of the 2018 edition of the event. The biggest name to feature on a Positive Vibration bill to date and a real statement of intent for the independent festival, the one and only LEE ‘SCRATCH’ PERRY will be joining the party at Constellations. As well as the Godfather of dub, jungle innovator RONI SIZE will also be appearing at the June jamboree.
The third and final wave of artists to be announced for the festival also features big names in the form of CARROLL THOMPSON, HORSEMAN and KING LORENZO. As well as jam packed list of top notch artist which already includes Adrian Sherwood and Creation Rebel, Misty In Roots and Mungo’s Hifi with Eva Lazarus.
The Reggae Q&A will again be taking place this year, the discursive element of the Positive Vibration programme will explore the impact of reggae on British music, culture and society. This year’s panel will feature Brixton-based DJ, producer and documentarian BLACKER DREAD, prolific singer/songwriter CARROLL THOMPSON and lecturer, poet and activist, DR WILLIAM ‘LEZ’ HENRY’.
As well as all this, Positive Vibrations fantastic family offer will run concurrently and the Art Of Reggae poster competition will once again by held at Constellations. The Jamdown Market will featuring over 40 traders offering food, drink, records, clothes, arts and crafts, jewellery, health and well-being.
