Over the past decade, SOUND CITY has been a focal point for celebrating one of Liverpool’s greatest cultural exports: music. In doing so, the festival has animated areas right across the city, helping to create new stories that enrich Liverpool’s world-renowned musical legacy. Past and present will be in perfect unison in 2017 as Sound City once again brings the city’s historic docklands alive with music, thereby uniting two great pillars of Liverpool history. This year’s new site at Clarence Dock has the vantage point of the River Mersey – the Gateway to the Atlantic – in front of it and the city sprawl behind it: we can’t think of a better location to celebrate great music.
