Fred Perry’s Subculture Live series is Merseyside bound this month and will be setting up at SEVENSTORE in the Baltic Triangle on Thursday 15th August with music from TRUDY AND THE ROMANCE and a DJ set from EYESORE AND THE JINX.
There will be further display curated from the Fred Perry archive collection, alongside the brand new Fred Perry Raf Simons AW19 range.
This is a free event. Sign up for free entry here.
Combining Fred Perry’s fashion heritage and Liverpool’s contemporary live music scene, the event will feature an exhibition display curated from the Fred Perry archive collection, complete with a display of the brand-new, shoppable collection designed in collaboration with Raf Simons.
Fred Perry Subculture has shared a close relationship with the British music scene, providing a fertile ground for British subcultures, its music, and the heritage that continues to inform the brand today. The event at SEVENSTORE will feature as part of the Subculture Live series, a platform that both shines a light on icons of the British music scene as well as emerging bands ready to turn heads on the global stage.
Displaying a commitment to showcasing new, British artistic talent, the event will feature a headline performance from a fresh incarnation of Trudy and the Romance. Now operating as a six-piece, the band released their debut album, ‘Sandman’, in May of 2019 which sees an ice cool continuation of their mutant slacker meets cosmic 50s doo-wop sound. Further music on the night will come from the record collection of Eyesore & The Jinx, one of Merseyside’s riotous new talents to have emerged “from the putrid banks of the River Mersey” toting rough edged post punk sensibilities with rare surf grooves.
Fred Perry Subculture Live at SEVENSTORE takes place from 7pm on Thursday 15th August. Register for free entry here.
