Black Lights

This band from Manchester are being backed by a lot of people in the know and rightly so, it’s only a matter of time before they are a household name across the country.

Previously a three piece comprising of guitar, keyboards and vocals, the band have now added a full time drummer to their ranks. Their music connects with the listener in a way that has been described as close to Elbow and the comparison is certainly justified with their emotionally uplifting material.

Backing is coming from plenty of sources include Key 103, BBC Radio, NME, MEN amongst others.

‘Effortlessly, Jaime McCool opens his heart and soul on every track; not with theatrics or screams, but with a sense that every note he gives you is a gift. If Jeff Buckley had been Mancunian, he would of sounded like this’. - John McCready (Word magazine/NME)

Tone Puppets

Full of eastern promise - and northern grit, resident band at The Lovely Job, Tone Puppets produce a fizzy, guitar fuelled indie laced sound with curious time signatures and mathy prog-outs that’s been likened to the Beta Band/Nirvana and The Doors.

Follow up single to the successful track 'Ignore' in 2011, 'Late Nights' was released for download in Jan 2012 and has been gaining recognition on a mass basis including huge radio exposure and is also due to be included on an 'Acid Jazz Records' compilation.

Oxygen Thieves

Oxygen Thieves sound is derived from a phsycadelic garage rock feel with haunting vocals, one to rattle the senses and keep the listener locked in the groove.

On Deltasonic management the band have had huge backing from BBC Radio Merseyside and continue to play some of the city’s most prestigious gigs on the circuit.

The 53’s

The 53s are a four-piece Liverpool guitar band doing their best to make people dance. With plenty of support on BBC Radio Merseyside, LFC TV and even on match days at Anfield, the guys have a experienced pedigree. Their latest material is making waves on BBC Introducing, on BBC Radio 6 and also NME Radio.

Acoustically driven the band have taken on a more frantic rock approach to their new material. Backed by an excellently tight rhythm section, The 53s are worth keeping an eye on.

The Liverpool Big Band

This band comprises of over 30 members and produce a blend of Funk, Jazz and Swing.

The sheer scale of this outfit is worth the entry fee in itself, there’s not many stages that can accommodate this kind of act and The Zanzibar is one of them. You have to see this set up in the venue itself to believe it.

They produce a wall of sound that you just can’t ignore and it grinds along and peaks in all the right places like all good dirty blues funk should!

Sky High Symphony

A new all girl 5 piece outfit from Liverpool who deal in in a Pop Rock direction and state their influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Evanesence.

There’s already a polished sound from this band that have only been together for a short period, they sound like they have honed their sound on the circuit, in particular Lauren McHuges soulful vocal style is that of a seasoned professional.
