Latin Quarter are a British band noted for their protest songs, the most successful of which, Radio Africa, reached number 19 in the charts in 1986.
Despite playing the main stage at Glastonbury and all of the major Eighties TV shows, the band went on to be far more succ...essful in Europe and Scandinavia than the UK - for example, Modern Times, their first album was top 20 in Germany and Sweden, the following two also charted in those countries.
Four members are back together and promoting their great new album 'Ocean Head', playing old and new tracks.
Formed in 1984 by Steve Skaith, Mike Jones and Richard Wright (not of Pink Floyd), Latin Quarter's original line-up disbanded in 1990, Skaith, Wright and Jones produced two further albums but this line-up disbanded in 1998. The reunited line-up brings back original keyboard player (and co-songwriter) Steve Jeffries together with original bass player Greg Harewood and singer Yona Dunsford. Together with Skaith and Jones they have recorded an entirely new album. Following a sold-out tour of Germany in early 2012, we are happy to bring them back to Liverpool.
