Arches are a 5 piece anthemic rock band based in Glasgow fronted by Michael Rice, the former singer of Yashin, also including former members of well-received Scottish bands - Young States and Jocasta Sleeps. Despite only having been around for a year or so and playing their debut (SOLD OUT) show in November 2011 Arches have trail blazed through the year, with 'Turn It Up', 'Circles' and 'Like Fireworks' airing on Radio 1 Introducing and Kerrang Radio, not to mention having their music videos featured on Kerrang TV Introduces.

There is a wonderfully ethereal quality to their sound, so delicately crafted with guitar melody and haunting vocal harmonies that further intensify Rice’s mellow yet powerful vocals. Although the band members claim to be inspired by movies and events that affect them emotionally, they also draw influence from bands such as Death Cab For Cutie, Brand New and U2.

Catch them on their UK tour in support of their debut single release of 'Be This Way' which will be out August 2nd.
