Liverpool Sound City 2013 - Band applications open and earlybird passes on sale

LSC 2013 is go!

The wheels are already well in motion for next year's Sound City event, to take place in the city on 2nd, 3rd and 4th May 2013. With two days of conferencing, the return of the popular Sound City Expo, plus all the extra film and visual events that take place alongside the tonnes of live music from around the world, there are once again a variety of ways for you to engage with Liverpool Sound City. It doesn't all just happen in May you know...

+ Artist Submissions in association with BandApp

This year Liverpool Sound City have partnered up with BandApp to co-ordinate the artist submission process for 2013, and they are now inviting bands wishing to play next year's festival to head to the BandApp website to apply. BandApp is a leading force in online connectivity who help to bring bands, venues and promoters closer together by co-ordinating all relevant information about releases and events on one platform. Liverpool Sound City are committed to embracing and encouraging development in all areas of the music sector, and they are delighted to be partnering with BandApp on this. All bands and artists who apply via BandApp will receive the app for free, and event organisers are encouraging applications from musicians from all round the world and from right across the musical spectrum.

Every year Sound City provides two days' worth of cutting-edge conferences and discussions that focus on the multi-faceted and constantly evolving face of music today. From tech and hardware improvements, to audiences with some of the industry's leading innovators and characters, the conferencing portion of Liverpool Sound City constantly throw up some excellent and thought-provoking sessions. Previous years have seen appearances from Seymour Stein (Warner Bros/Sire), Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Simon Raymonde (Bella Union), Julien Temple (The Filth & The Fury, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle) and this year's in conversation panel between renowned photographer Gered Mankowitz and Bido Editor Craig G Pennington was another highlight.

Festival organisers are giving you the chance to steal a march on the crowd by getting your delegate passes now at the measly price of £80 (normal price £200). Not only will your delegate pass get you in to see all the panellists, round-table sessions and keynote speakers, you will also have access to the Sound City Expo and all of the live music programme.
